Our training will teach you all you need to know to get you started in the yachting industry: from terminology and etiquette to service, laundry, bed-making, bartending or administration. You will get full support from our experienced trainers that will help you deal with the pressures of working in a multifaceted environment and the quantity and quality of the skills required to perform your role on board. The main responsibility of a yacht steward/ess is to maintain a proper yacht interior and provide the highest standard of care for the owners and guests.
Other of his/her duties may include cabin preparation – detailing to a very high standard, laundry, setting tables, arranging flowers, and cleaning all areas of the interior of the yacht. Also, you will serve food and drinks, prepare beach parties, pack, and unpack luggage and be on call for anything that the guests want anytime day or night.
The stewards/ess work under the direct coordination of the Chief Steward/ess.

Starting from 21 September 2026, accommodation is included free of charge in the course price.
Capsea Yachting provides accommodation in two Crew Houses in Constanța, with a maximum combined capacity of 10 students. Places are limited and subject to prior booking and availability confirmation.
Shared rooms are arranged exclusively for students of the same gender.
Free accommodation is available only to Capsea Yachting students whose permanent residence is located more than 60 km from the city of Constanța/Romania.
Important Industry Requirements
Please note that the Yacht Steward/Stewardess and Yacht Deckhand course fees cover Capsea Yachting training services only.
Mandatory industry requirements and additional services such as:
• Mandatory maritime safety and industry-required courses
• Professional Qualification Certification courses
• Seaman’s Book / maritime documentation
• ENG1 or other mandatory maritime medical examinations
• Medical clinic fees and personal maritime documentation
• Transportation to and from the Crew House or training locations
• USA B1/B2 visa application fees for candidates applying for a U.S. visa (paid separately to the U.S. Embassy)
• Transportation, visas, and personal expenses are not included in the course tuition fee and are charged separately by the respective institutions or service providers.
